To recreate: Take all of the items out of the requester chest near the character, which feeds an EM plant making quantum processors.
Actual result: Logistics robots carrying processing units or lithium plates to the chest run out of battery as they get near. When they do, they appear to teleport a short distance backward along their path before flying slowly to the nearby roboport.
Expected result: Robot movement should appear continuous
Reproducibility: Happens always, not just with this chest but I notice the logistics bots do this almost every time they do anything on Aquilo. When a lot of bots are involved it can be quite jarring with bots disappearing and reappearing all over the screen, for example when I come back into the logistics network and get every bot in the network trying to bring me more ice platforms.
Of course every gamer is familiar with this phenomenon when latency-hiding makes a wrong prediction in network multiplayer. I am very curious what optimization in Factorio is making this occur in offline single-player. Is the bot battery state checked less frequently than the bot graphics are rendered?
