In any case, I voted for Industry Upgrades. Based on Py's description, that seems a good way to flesh out and tie together what currently already exists in the pymod suite.

That is one MASSIVE chain. And I agree it's better to increase the usage of existing buildings than to have an enormous amount of single-purpose buildings. Also allows you to put more time and care in the building designs.

1: I probably miss something obvious, but coke is necessary for Fawogae Substrate and thus SP1, but coke is also locked behind Coal Processing 1 (the pycoal tech). Am I the only one with this issue?
You should be able to make coke in the destructive distillation column from coal. Which you need ...
