[SOLVED 0.17.1 MAC] Not finding 0.17.2 and 0.17.3

When starting the game or using ab out->check for updates, it comes back saying that there is no new updates when there is 0.17.2 and 0.17.3 now

Log shows that it found no available package.

I did a hard update to 0.17.1 = I downloaded 0.17.1 and reinstalled and now that 0.17.2 is out, I got the same issue. It detects there is an update but clkicking "Update Now" does not update and just restarts factorio. The log shows the same as the log I already posted.

There is no error displayed in my case.
Clicking Update now just restarts the game with no error being displayed but nothing downladed and thus no update happening

When starting or when doing check for udpates, I try to update from 0.17 to 0.17.1. also if you are interested I have:
sysctl kern.maxfiles
set to 28000

and sysctl kern.maxfilesperproc
set to 24000

in reply to sudo lsof -n | cut -f1 -d' ' | uniq -c | sort | tail

There is no process running that is hitting the max amount of files per processes and the sum of the file also does not exceed by far the max amount of files open for the whole system.

output of launchctl limit maxfiles maxfiles 256 unlimited I do not know what the default is supposed to be here as I never changed that one Also note that this issue never occured before and I have been playing factorio on that laptop for a long time now without any issue until the last update

I removed drillingpumpjack that was in error in the log but same issue while trying to run factorio from finder at the same place in the same cpp

Mod Portal having issues ?

Today I cannot connect to the mod portal from the game or when I connect and then try to update my mods it fails downloading.
This has never happened before and the same issue is true on all my computers. I have no internet issue with any app or games either as I tested to rule that out.
