I agree with most of the points here, the main problem with expensive mode(s) is the unwieldy permutations of table structures. If the regular recipe/tech structure was to be forced onto the subtable, that would at least simplify library functions instead of handling parent and child type formats at...

Fermentation base is kind of more problematic... since it will yield a higher amount of compost.
However, compost can be "voided" by more farming, specifically heading towards more of a vegetable oil/nutrient pulp path.

I may have made a mistake there, sorry. I think you can see from the system how complex and strange it is to get balanced with all of the moving parts, ill try to prioritize that in the next few weeks but a fix won't be pushed until the next update gets out, so that may be a while.

A few patches are sitting on dev for the upcoming release (much lower energy value of thorium cells), including a prototype reactor in the works which is good at burning things (but bad for making power, only active without bobs)... The "early bots" are slow, but are still a pressure relie...

That would be non-trivial to implement, a more valid work-around would be to set regular ores to spawn in the starting area, and only infinite ores everywhere else

Addon mods are perfectly fine to run, quite a few already exist, I for one, own two, and maintain another 5. Not that im the only one. The benefits of building onto angels or bobs and angels, is you get to use the wonderful libraries to mod more efficiently. Id recommend hitting us up on the angels ...
