i put 6 boxes around it, it still didn't change anything. After checking on my factorys in detail i realised that most assembling machine 3 don't work efficient (at making chopper cables for example) so i checked, i got fast inserters, sadly they only put in 5 bars and that slows down the whole process. if it would add more then that i could have 200-300% ...

best way is to just let your constuction robots destroy all the old stuff and rebuild at some point.
a lot of my problems were from beeing to stubborn and keeping walls/towers that were in the middle of my base for a long time.

saves you a lot of space.

the furnance setup is nice. I usually go for the 3 belt setup but in the long run you save more space :)

sulfur acid at 6.5
battery at 6
Assembly machine at 2-4
lube at 19.8
sulfur at 50
biowaste at 100/100
light oil at 3
gas at 2
heavy oil at 3

so yeah sulfur is kinda the big one in the room (biowaste is from a mod)

updated to 10.6 (7 had issues with saving and 8 sounded like a rushed bugfix) and it didn't crash "yet" still uses same ammount of ram. ill try to put down a huge biolab now to test it :) 8 bioreactors that change biomass to biomass .. no probs but somehow my inserter is to stupid to put fertilizer ...

i don't know if it's because of dytech but as soon as i try to make a big biomass setup it tells me "bad allocation" -> stuffs full my grafic memory and kills the game. my maindeff base got 300 lasers (thats why i called it sparta)
i think 30 per dude is nothing :D

+ just build fast belts to slow the monsters down.

do the burner inserters nowadays feed themselfs? always thought i had to put the stuff in myself. but i agree with kerbal, water tank + backup steam is the way eco friendly biter killing maniacs roll nowadays :D even got a more or less compact design posted ^^ - you save coal - you have less polluti...
