Trailing Forward Slash gives 404

If there is a trailing Forward Slash / at the end of any Mod Portal URL you get a 404 error. This link will work: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/MaintenanceMadness This link will give a 404 error: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/MaintenanceMadness/ I understand that according to the industry standard H...

[Rseding91] [0.17.41] Updating mods doesn't install dependencies

So I was looking at mods for an old 0.16 save and decided to update them in game in preparation for a new Modded game, and I noticed after updating them that some were still red because they did not have a hard dependency installed. So I had to manually search for and install all the dependencies th...

Re: [0.7.11] Notice message when saving

I don't get that error message at all, I can save the Start Tutorial Campaign just fine, and I have the Steam version of Factorio on Windows 10 also. Make sure you haven't disabled the Base Mod in the Mod settings screen.

Re: [0.7.11] Notice message when saving

So... I downloaded the beta release, cleared out the steamapps\common\factorion folder and copied in the new release. What on EARTH are you doing!? You have the Steam version of Factorio, so just right click the Factorio entry in your Steam Library, left click Properties, left click on the "Be...

Re: [Rseding91] Impossible to ban player.

It might be better to implement same kind of player ID. This number could be use to refer to a player if the reference by name failed. There is already something like that built into the game, there is a "Player Index" which you can use to ban people without using the name, however even u...

On a "Headless" version of Factroio running on Windows Server 2016 with a Windows 10 Client the command does not cause a desync.

I suspect he is worried the logs contain auth tokens, usernames and IP addresses. Which when sent over the internet could be intercepted if not properly encrypted.

[Rseding91] [0.16.6] Endless "Ok" loop if scenario has invalid argument

I'm trying to put together a custom scenario for the fMMO Admin tools to see if there is one module in particular that is causing the desyncs, and I forgot to check what was set in control.lua and ended up with two sets of admin tools enabled. Which then led to admin.lua having an invalid argument o...

[0.14.14][posila] Crash on loading sprites after Alt-Tab

I have found that if I Alt Tab out of Factorio while it is loading sprites and open another program such as CPUID HW Monitor which prompts User Account Control that Factorio will instantly crash on loading that sprite and suggest you don't have enough video memory. I have reproduced this twice in a ...

Re: Auto Update of Windows Headless

Imho the best solution for Windows server it to use SteamCMD OK so I eventually figured out how to get this working after reading posts on other forums, works fine with a Batch file on my laptop so I just copied the entire folder across to my headless server and reconfigured it for the folders I wa...

Auto Update of Windows Headless

As the title suggests is there a way to update the Headless verison of Factorio on Windows via Command line? Reason being I have a headless Windows Server and have to have a copy of the Zip version of Factorio on my Laptop so I can run it to update it instead of having to download the full Zip again...

It applies an update from a zip file that Factorio can download when the correct command is given.

Offshore Pump overlap

Not 100% sure whether this is intentional or a bug, but two Offshore pumps placed around a corner have the "tube" that goes into the water overlapping with each other.

(ignore the small pumps my friend put them in and I'm pretty sure they're not needed so I'll probably remove them later)

If you notice it actually updates you from 0.13.4 to 0.13.5 first and THEN from 0.13.5 to 0.13.6. It doesn't jump you straight to the latest version.

Re: Version 0.13.2

The research layout could be more like the ones in Civilisation Games are. Those are laid out horizontally and if you select one research that's "not available" it will start researching the prerequisites. I don't know if that sort of style/functionality would start a lawsuit from Sid Meie...

Hey, just noticed something. When launching the headless server, when you create a new game. It is not saved in the "saves" folder but it is saved in the current folder. Same thing with you launch the headless with --start-server-load-latest, it looks for files in the current folder in st...

[0.13.1] Research button too far right

The research button for Rail Signals is too far to the right, so far that's the only one I've come across that's misplaced. My resolution is 1920x1080.

Thankfully I had the sense to keep the 0.12.35 saves separate from the 0.13.0 versions of the same. Thanks for letting me know it was fixed in 0.13.1 :)
