Inserter puts items on the further away side of belt when placing. When this further away is on output of spliter, then You inserting on output.

Do You have roboport also connected? Roboport by default also send content of logistic storage. So chest sends "one furnace", roboport also sends "one furnace" which gives You two furnaces on wire.

Problem with inserting in tight red/blue belt is that, hole to insert can be in invalid position. So correct tick to insert is **.5 for red or **.3333 and **.6666 for blue. So is there any reason other than aesthetics to use the tank wagon now? Barrels in a cargo wagon carry more fluids, can be customized with item filters, and the cargo wagon is lighter than the tank wagon. It sounds like we could just get rid of the tank wagon all together if it offers no advantages...
