Wow I am so excited for .15. You guys have done an amazing job with everything. It looks fantastic, thank you so much.
I have a question though I hope I can get answered. The mining drill shown in the nuclear power pic, the one with fluid input, is that a new mining drill just for mining uranium ...

If you consider what is planned for .15 I highly doubt it will come in the next weeks... There is a lot in that update. A lot. And usually in the first build they make public at least the core features are all in...

Re: Friday Facts #161 - Infinite Research and Blueprint Library
If stack bonus becomes an infinite research, I would however strongly advocate for a setting in the entity menu to set the actually used stack bonus per inserter . Make it default to "MAX" (current behavior), but players who wish to change the value may do so (added bonus: per circuit condition, but ...

Re: Factorio Roadmap for 0.15 + 0.16
My guess is they plan to get 0.15 released some times before Christmas, maybe a week or two before it. There are still a LOT of big features they want to add to it and from the little I've seen from FFF, they haven't even started with some of them.

Re: Please use Stone in more recipies
For me a good sink for stone in "peaceful" games would be rails. To not hinder early game give rails two possible recipies - one with wooden ties and one modern with concrete tiles.

Re: Friday Facts #159 - Research revolution
Gun turrets are already very valuable in terms of raw demage output, if I recall correctly, because they benefit from multiple line of upgrades (the turret ones AND the magazines ones). If endless reasearch gets a thing and is just more tiers of the research we already have - than the gap could ...

Re: Concrete Recipe
If you go by the theme of reinforced concrete, I would suggest iron sticks instead of iron plates.
I mean, usually it is just concrete poured over a mesh of iron (or steel) sticks.
Agreed that iron ore does not make a lot of sense...

Re: Version 0.13.6
I have found resource generation to be fine.
On the maps I've made since 13.0 (about half a dozen) I've had some of all the resources nearby and then with just a little exploration I can find more. I like having things a bit more spaced out. Trains are more useful and you have to play with the ...

I used a console command to enable the flamethrower turret while waiting for the research bug to be fixed. Now achievements are disabled. Is there a way to clear the 'console command used' flag and re-enable them?
Yes. Restart the map.

Re: Factorio achievements proposals
I think you can add further replayability by challenge achievements that require you to dedicate a full playtrough to get them, and that force you to play completely different. The "almost-no-handcrafting" achievement (Lazy bastard) is an example.

Re: Friday Facts #143 - Nat Punching Again
What some of you are obviously fogetting is that 0.12 is the "stable" beta version and it will remain so even in July.
What ist coming out with 0.13.0 is in a matter of fact the "modders prerelease version" of 0.13 you are demanding. And this will be until it is classified as stable with 0.13.x (go ...

Re: Oil Mod for more Oil
Thank you all for the answers :)
I have read a lot of times that you should never shut down a oil pump and put speed modules lvl 3 into them.
I did that to 6 Oil pumps and it wasnt worth at all. I got like 30 Oil every 1 minute or something.
Is it really worth or do i need like at least 50-100 ...

Re: Accumulators should prefer to drain at night
Accumulators are just that, a backup , therefore it makes sense that they have a lower priority than steam. If some users for instance use steam as primary power with backup accumulators for their laser turrets ("laser batteries") then your proposal would break their setup. You see: Regardless of ...

Re: Pump-jacks make way too much pollution
It's a case of balance, not thematics. If you need a reason, you could argue the pollution comes from impurities in the oil patch, which would also decrease over time.
I think actually that the opposite is true! If you keep a pumpjack running which is only pumping out tiny amounts of oil then ...

I have to agree that fighting of "bitters" (whatever they are called I find extremely annoying. Now that I have read there is a checkbox to turn them off I will try again. My suggestion would be to not have them at all until you build a pistol. No pistol = no enemy.
