Re: Friday Facts #381 - Space Platforms
Really like the new content. One thing I would love to see trickle back to planet however, is the ability to read missing contruction items through roboports (unless this was added recently, I've been very busy the last couple of years, and didn't had time to play much). It would be weird to have a ...

Re: AMD 5700XT Driver Glitch?
Nearly the exact same config (except 3900x, and a 3440x1440 100Hz Monitor) and I can't reproduce the issue

Re: Error when trying to connect to MP server Invalid packet (type ServerToClientHeartbeat)
the packet are all small in size, so I highly doubt it's MTU related. And since I can only play with the MTU on the client side, I can't really be definitive about it. I've also confirmed that switching to a 1G nic solves the problem, with the exact same config, and that using a 10G nic on a pc whic...

Re: Error when trying to connect to MP server Invalid packet (type ServerToClientHeartbeat)
Second Test to isolate my network, I just tried from an old laptop, same network config (only difference being 1g copper instead of 10g sfp) and I can connect to the same server. Also tested over wifi without issue. So is it possible that the 10g network breaks factorio somehow ? buffer on the tx/rx...

[0.18.17] Error trying to connect to MP server Invalid packet (type ServerToClientHeartbeat) with 10G Nic
So, since a few days (weeks ?) I can't connect to some MP servers (others work perfectly) The error in the log is Invalid packet (type ServerToClientHeartbeat) received from IP ADDR:({95.216.28.149:7010}): heartbeat sequence number (553786) outside latency window [552986, 553786) bug_connection_erro...

Re: Friday Facts #260 - New fluid system
While the new proposed system seems better, I feel it will only actually improve performance on edge cases. If you are at a point where you have ups issues, which is the case for nuclear on big setups for exemple, you rarely have long stretch of pipes, mostly lots of intersections. The sanity would ...

Re: [0.16.8] Requester chest do not request stuff ...
does not fix for me either
i don't have .7 or .8 versions, but any requester bugged in .9 are still bugged in .10
on my base, any requester that had been set (filtered) previous to .8 but was empty during the .7->.9 migration is broken unless manually reset or checking the 'take from buffer' box.

it's a no-biter world (ie biter base set to none)
you can explore all you want, you'll never see one

Re: no polution option for megabases/no biters world
Hmmmm, missed the option
Though i don't get why i'm Taking an ups/fps hit since I don't have biters.
And I guess this can be moved to the implemented section. You guys are so efficient you implement our suggestions before we even make them

no polution option for megabases/no biters world
Okay, After playing a few hundreds hours on several map and experimenting, I decided to go for the megabase on a no enemies world. It started well, but after a few dozens hours of setting massive production lanes, my fps started to go down, fast forward, and the game became nearly unplaybale because...

Re: Friday Facts #136 - Map Transfers
I actually love the technical fff :D :D And as i happen to be a sysadmin/network eng., I actually understood all of that ;) Though I must say the rfcs are one of the worst things ever, they are very informative and contains all the informations, but they sometimes are painful to read. also there are...
