Re: [1.0] Sea Block Pack 0.4.10

I was a bit confused when I tested the fuel value of Liquid fuel vs Enriched fuel block. While the block gives 400 units of 315Β° steam, 100 liquid fuel (which would make one block) give 1700 units of steam. How come this is so imbalanced?

Re: [0.17] Sea Block Pack 0.3.7

Is it still better to use electrolyzers (without the electrodes) than going with geodes?
I would miss the 'free' oxygen, hydrogen and water that comes with it.

It was never better to go the electrolyzers then geodes in normal game.
Or you are talking about marathone game ?

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.16

Has anyone problems with compressed air generation or air scrubbing?
There should definitely be a MK3 and maybe even MK4 Air Filter. Those available are just horribly slow.

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.11

I updated from Sea Block 0.2.1 or 0.2.0. Now Nitrogen Processing is marked as researched which allows me to produce ammonia from just nitrogen and hydrogen. This technology was locked or disabled until now. Furthermore I am able to make compressors instead of air filters which also is not intended ...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.3

Yesterday I've tried to build different power plants. The goal is to build something that is self contained. Needs no items from the outside and needs nothing taken out to keep running. Throwing some things into a clarifier or flare stack is acceptable (if not downright necessary) but the less the ...

Re: [0.16] Sea Block Pack 0.2.3

True, though I think by the time belt throughput becomes an issue for power production, you should have pellets anyways, which is far denser than charcoal and carbon. Both are ultimately key products for the factory. Charcoal for filtering and eventually solid fuel. Carbon for electronics ...

Re: [0.15] Sea Block Pack 0.1.7

The more I work on this geodes => sludge process the less appealing it looks like.

How many electrolyzers do you need to run to supply one filtration unit ?
1 sludge batch takes 100 mineralized water, so 10 crushed stones.

Crushing geodes gives 1/1.5/0.5/1/1/1 crushed stones (blue/cyan/green ...

Re: [0.15] Sea Block Pack 0.1.7

It is definitely more efficent to use geodes instead of slag, though you need a lot of mineralized water. But with geodes, the sulfuric waste -> acid cycle does not work anymore, because you need way more acid than can be recovered from the waste water. And since making sulfur from coal no longer ...

Re: [0.15] Sea Block Pack 0.1.7

This can provide over 40MW of power and produce 60MJ worth of fuel per second (boilers 3, and engines 2). I'm curious if someone came up with something more efficient and somewhat OCD friendly.

Re: [0.15] Sea Block Pack 0.1.7

If you crush the geodes into dust first, you get 50/50 crushed stone -> mineralized water. You don't need slag at all.

It is self sustained like this:

Re: [0.15] Sea Block Pack 0.1.7

With the new bioprocessing I am kinda confused what to do with the excess seeds when processing dormant seeds. They can be converted to compost and soil after that, but with the lack of temperate gardens there is no use for these items. I cannot turn them into a liquid or a gas to rid of them ...

Re: Count-perfect flow limiter (needs review)

The yellow belt moves at one slot per tick. One item uses 9 slots of space on the belt. So the belt would be saturated if it receives one item every 9 ticks for each lane.

Edit: I tested and now you can make setups when you can put a precise number of items in a chest.
That's a big deal. Thank you for the really quick fix.

I would make a new thread about it in Suggestions. As Twinsen said it's not a bug. Depends on the implementation whether we see a solution rather sooner than later.

Re: My memory cell ;3...

You can actually have all possible signals on a single wire simultaneously. If you use the color signals for access circuitry you could store 236 different signals (as of 0.15.x) in a single combinator. That would be 944 bytes of memory.

This, for example, are 7744 bytes. 3 tick read, 4 tick write ...

Re: [0.15.1] [Twinsen] Set Stack Size Operation with negative numbers

I believe I was able to successfully create an experimental setup in which I was able to move a fixed amount of items from one container to another. I programmed a combinator to send a signal to the inserter which specifies the remaining number of items to transfer. I set the inserter to use this ...
