It used to be that Factorio was just a ZIP file that you'd unzip wherever, so you could have multiple versions installed.

Now, the installer uninstalls the previous version.

How do I install multiple versions?

I need to install multiple versions for a few reasons:

TL;DR
A shortcut key for dropping / inserting 10 items at a time.

What ?
The Z key (by default) currently drops / inserts 1 item at a time. I'd like an additional shortcut for doing this with 10 items at a time.

I don't know (or really have much of a preference for) what the default key ...

I still think an in-game touchscreen button to access the main menu would be a useful addition regardless, and it'd mostly solve the issue as a bonus side effect.

Craters (like from cliff explosives) are drawn on top of the gravel/railroad ties on train tracks.

I'm assuming they should be underneath everything.

When joining a multiplayer game, if ESC is pressed during "catching up", it brings up the game menu. If "quit game" is selected, it hangs the game. Eventually the game quits, I think maybe after "catching up" finishes anyways? But while it's hung like this, the menu stays on screen and can't be ...

The flip command does not affect hazard concrete's orientation.

Steps:
1. Put a hazard concrete ghost in hand (such as a single piece, or a paste/bp containing one or more hazard concretes)
2. Use the flip command

Expected: Hazard concrete pattern flipped left-to-right i.e. reversed, rotated ...

"Cancel" button on map download + catching up dialogs

When joining a multiplayer game, it would be nice if there were a "cancel" button on both the "downloading map" and "catching up" progress dialogs, so you don't have to force terminate the process if a map is unreasonably huge or catching up isn't working out for you.

Not much more to say about ...

No there's no balance reason for it. It's similar to crafting things that have intermediate items and canceling crafting half way through. It doesn't give back the raw materials but instead the intermediate products already created. Except in the rocket silo case there is no intermediate product ...

When picking up a rocket silo, if it contains any rocket parts (i.e. > 0% complete), the rocket parts are lost.

Steps:
1. Create a rocket silo
2. Let it create some parts up to N%
3. Pick up the rocket silo

Expected: N rocket parts transferred to inventory.

Actual: 0 rocket parts transferred to ...
