Re: A wind powered vehicle that goes faster than the wind

I think that in order to understand the principle of movement of ships and planes, it is necessary to delve into the laws of physics in more detail, study the force of resistance, etc.

Re: We need more control over bots

This is not a feature suggestion. I was putting down some roboports in an outpost. The outpost didn't have power. After having put some construction bots in one of the ports, they rushed out to get some trash from me and stuck around as there was no storage. Then they bounced from port to port as t...

Re: DeathWorld SpeedRun

Well, on deathworld, you definitely want to wander the map. There's usually (about 90% of the time?) an iron patch somewhere not so close to a biter base. You only need about 1300 copper or so to get settled in. Some maps are absolutely brutal, of course. For those, I haven't figured a way to win o...

Sounds great. Truly atmospheric music that creates the mood. It's boring to play games in silence, sometimes you need driving music for the right mood.

Re: Factorio in 4K, should be gtx 970 enough?

Hi, I've played Factorio for years and it's for me the game number one 8-) I had no problems playing it with gtx950 (2GB VRAM) on fullHD. Now, I have the opportunity to get cheaply 4K monitor and GTX 970 GPU . Should it be fine together? Are there any limitations on VRAM size (gtx970 has effectivel...

i think this is would be kinda expensive in game material if it would be implemented, but could well replace the logistic robots.
excellent idea though :)
Why not? Not a bad idea. This is how a good idea can appear in a joke for implementation within the game world.

Re: You know you play Factorio too much when...

I don’t know how it happened, but I don’t have a great dependence on games, I spend strictly dosed time in games every day (no more than 2 hours), and on some days I don’t even feel like playing games. Maybe I have some other attitude to games formed or subconsciously have a need for productive time.

... So far, I don't think the current hot temperatures we have in Europe have been proven to be a direct consequence or illustration of the climate change - despite the climate change in itself has reached a consensus in the scientific community. There might even be places in the world where the we...

Re: Would some good soul give me a copy of factorio?

I mean, gifting a copy to someone is a good way to throw money at Wube. Especially, if the one can't legally get a copy I'm sure there are plenty of ways to throw money at Wube (e.g. the "Merch" link) that don't also reward software theft. I agree, software theft is not nice and I don't w...

Re: Would some good soul give me a copy of factorio?

But I have a different problem. I want to find Factorio or something similar for a tablet. As I understand it, there is no Factorio for the tablet, but I just recently received a Lenovo 10.1 Inch tablet, took it specifically in order to play games and watch videos on YouTube. Are there any analogs o...

Yeap. But it's OK, I think, in my way of looking at things. This is pure flattery. They are at least decent enough to steal and not just borrow. Would be nice if they coughed up some royalties tho. Got to underwrite factorio expansion kit somehow! As for Dyson Sphere Program, I was initially extrem...

Interesting video. Well done for taking the trouble to shoot. I like it when a person seizes the moment and does not miss it.

Re: Climate Change

It doesn't help that people will refuse to change for the better. For example quite a large amount of methane is produced via agriculture. A good way to cut on those would be just less meat intake for everybody. However actually try to tell people to eat less meats (and less animal dairy products) ...

And I had a problem with the backlight on the wireless keyboard due to a poor-quality bluetooth antenna. This became clear after the antenna was recovered and I bought a new Ubit AX200 antenna. Then the synchronization was already stable and the backlight was not dull. Before this incident, I did no...

You are not alone. Sometimes we have to do many different small actions, which may not always be justified, or may be useless due to our inexperience.

Why don't you search the internet for fonts? You can download and use them. There are hundreds of fonts, you will definitely find some suitable one, and not even one. Have you tried to read the thread ? the devs have answered that the logo has been handcrafted. There is no existing font somewhere w...

I'm not a programmer, but given the fact that on most mega-bases the bots are the most time consuming items, why wasn't they multithreaded before engine development was called finished? Multithreaded Belts are nice, but don't help any real mega-base. It seems to me that a different algorithm is nee...
