Re: Alt-F4 #12 - Reverse Engineering the Spider

the spidertron is fun.. but how do i get it away from the mouse without reloading the page? :)

Clicking on any link (f.e. to the forum) was challenging , had to wait that spidertron moves over the button (and i had it at the top of page) and then the mouse changed so i could click the link.

Re: Friday Facts #361 - Train stop limit, Tips and tricks

FFF .. finally one again. God i missed it.

Changes sound great, especially the train. Everything that makes trains in vanilla less annoying i welcome. I use LTN (and like it) most of the time but everything that is vanilla is always better then mods.

Re: I want to play factorio but I lack a goal

I found it useful to have a Factorio pause. The need to build something came by itself. I heard also trying multiplayer might be useful. 8-) jep ... after Multiplayer with wife, reaching 5k+ science per minute we stopped, as frames went down to 30... didn't play last half year. I started now alone ...

Re: Killing nest are becoming annoying - Strategy to play?

problem with base game: radar has way too small visible area for artillery.

In one of my 0.17/18 maps with biter expansion i came to the point, where i needed 1h to clear them with modded radar and nuclear artillery (firing nuclear bombs) on one side of the base.

Re: Friday Facts #358 - Alien decoratives & Polluted water

have to agree, polluted water is awesome but the colour not. On first view i thought "odd that in the barren is so much grass"´.

i think polluted water should either have some debris or that "foam-ish" look, with a bit more brown/oily tint.

Re: Friday Facts #351 - Beacon re-redesign & Simplified fluid mixing

Better than sauron invasion. New beacons are nice. Beacons have no visual significance for me. I need them for better factory but I don't need to see them. They provide no important information in general. The new one fulfille this. I take everything that needs less pc power. Getting to limit with 6...

Re: Friday Facts #339 - Beacon HR + Redesign process

don't like it, sorry. At least not as beacon. A beacon is a transmitter and not something that looks like an electrical converter or weapon. Looks also way to futuristic compared to the other DIY looking buildings (which i like). And waaay to eye-catching. For mega factories beacon are a must have, ...

Re: Speaking of playing the game the way you want ...

Allowing players to build canals is an too-easy defence against biters in default game: they cannot pass through and would allow to build undestroyable defences, if you build the canal far out so that no spitter can attack anything of value. Well, what I meant was specifically landfill - i.e. land ...

Re: Friday Facts #331 - 0.18.0 release & Train pathfinder changes

ok, now i'm on PC.. what i wanted to write else in last post: don't hang on that one sentence in a long FFF. Back to the topics: i like the pathfinder changes, might improve some of my problems i have and explain some wired behaviour like trains waiting for a free spot when next to the train are 10 ...

Re: Friday Facts #331 - 0.18.0 release & Train pathfinder changes

Kinda agree, the wording could have been better. Then again it's not a PR guy writing them but someone that cares about the game and player and tried to explain without going too much into details but still explain it. Know that feeling.... If he is still searching for a job he might want to shoot m...

Re: Chunk-aligned modular railway system with LTN Stations

Does anyone else have an issue where one corner of the bulk loaders/unloaders belts doesn't get built because it overlaps with the track hitbox? Yes, as the curved track was made 1 tile bigger in 0.17 . You need to change the belts and off-set one underground further out... looks stupid, but no oth...

Re: Items not in Network but not even requested

jep, there was a roboport connected (station is a universal requester for main base and requests a lot of stuff) and the iron wheels are at the moment always in minus. Used now the filter, lets see if that prevents it. *edit* hmm... even with filter and set to -10 Million for iron wheel it requests ...

Items not in Network but not even requested

Hi, my wife and i play a game at the moment where we suddenly get messages "No station supplying Speed Module (or Iron gear wheel) found in Network 0xfffffff" The problem: we don't request this items anywhere. The map is kinda new , so we have so far only 20 stations, but in none we reques...
