120+ hour game corrupted save
120+ hour game corrupted save
Hello, I went to load my game tonight and my actual save game, along with all the Autosaves are all saying they are corrupted. I have a ton of time into these and I will be sick if I have to do all this work again! Is there anything that can be done to help a corrupted save game? It's saying that the Level.DAT cannot be found.
Re: 120+ hour game corrupted save
Without any save files it is hard to tell what exactly went wrong. From the description i think your save may come from version 1.1.14+ but you are trying to load it in older version of the game.
Re: 120+ hour game corrupted save
I went through the attach process, not sure why they didn't show up, I will try again. I did start my game in an older version, but I have 60+ hours of it in the current version of the game. All 4 save games I attached are from the new version.

Re: 120+ hour game corrupted save
You should double check your game version, as 'nick freeplay' loads perfectly fine in my 1.1.35 game. Hit the about button in the main menu and make sure it says 1.1.35.
If you're on steam, go into the properties for the game in the library and a) check the betas tab and that you're not opted into any beta, and b) verify your game files to make sure they weren't corrupted.
If you're not using steam, try reinstalling the game.

Re: 120+ hour game corrupted save
Omg, I feel so stupid now... I was using an old shortcut that was taking me to 1.0.0 and not the steam version. Once in the right version it's working again. Thanks so much for the help!
