[1.1.13] Belt Interpolation after out of range

Post by AntiElitz »

Belt interpolation is now also active when dragging out of range or reentering the placement range.
This was not the case in 1.1.12.
I use to multi-drag lanes with a free gab in between, so this is actually a problem i encounter with this change.

Based on your video, I can clearly see it being bugged in 1.1.12 and working properly (being fixed), in 1.1.13, so this is not a bug.

Can you explain how it was bugged before?
The way is was in 1.1.12/1.1.10 was the way it worked for the past years and i don't see a bug there. The footage is from 1.1.10 btw.

Even if this is a bug fix it behaves inferior to before the fix.

This is another consequence of this weird behavior:

especially in the second video of the first post you can clearly see a bug in the 1.1.12 version which did work properly in 1.1.10
EDIT: 1.1.13 of course

You mean 1.1.13? there is no 1.1.12 in any video.

Just explain to me what exactly is a bug here.
And yes, it was bugged for years, that when you drag built + walked, it just randomly stopped, and now it builds as you aproach the position.

When I drag a belt outside of my building range and move the curser around, I expect that either an error message shows and nothing happens or a belt is placed on the edge of the building range at the line of sight towards where I click (or hold).
In 1.1.10 it was consistently the first case. In 1.1.13 however, it sometimes does the second behavior (2nd post, 1st video, however, the line of sight is not really observable), sometimes is "skips" some spaces and then places again (1st post, 1st video and 2nd post, 2nd video) and sometimes it builds the belts in line of sight as soon as the curser comes back into the range (1st post, 2nd video)
