[0.18.47] Modules stuck in assembly machines

When a machine recipe is set you can place modules into an assembly machine module slots, clearing the recipe removes the contents of the machine but leaves the modules in place, they are stuck in the machine and you have to set a recipe again before you can remove them. Shouldn't they be removed automatically with the contents when the recipe is cleared?
