Hello,
I'm playing the game but sometimes, I don't know why, the framerate of the game drop to 1 FPS during 1 minute then it crash and I can barely do anything during that laps of time. I can still manage to save my progress though.
After the crash I have a message saying "Factorio crashed due to video card reset or removal".
ERROR : DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED
I attached a screenshot of the message below.
I'll try to run the game using OpenGL as recommended and will see if this continue to crash or not.
I have all my drivers up to date, my graphic card and my CPU.
Thank you for the time you spent on my case.

Are you sure you didn't remove your video card ?
Well OK couldn't resist, sorry
.
I'll let those who know try and figure out what's going on exactly.

Could be a thermal issue. The driver is reset due switching of the device.
Re: [0.17.79] "Factorio crashed due to video card reset or removal"
Yes, this happens on some computers that have some stability issues under Factorio workload ... that's why we added error dialog (after trying to diagnose the problem for really long time to make sure we are not using graphics API incorrectly) ... pointing people that experience random driver resets towards common stability issues and possible workaround.
Besides overclocking and overheating, one of the top candidates is also bad PSU; On Ryzen CPU, you can also try to lower number of render threads in graphics settings to 4.
