An auto-save returned an error that it could not save the game (I don't remember the exact wording) so I tried to save the game manually and the game crashed with a out of memory error, which was weird as I had more than 16 GB of free RAM according to task manager. This is a heavily modded game and the error specifically references helmod but the error seems to stem from an out of memory error so I decided to report it.
After some investigation I discovered a corrupted auto-save file and uploaded it here. I can't recreate it as I tried playing for a bit and my memory usage didn't climb on RAM or VRAM (testing for memory leak) and no more save files were corrupted and I could save just fine. This might just be random chance or a weird mod interaction with cosmic rays but thought I'd let you know any way!
P.S. - There is no current issue just a single instance.

Re: [0.17.79] Crash on save game, not enough memory
Thanks for the report however without reproduction steps the best I can do is say "it ran out of memory". We can't do anything when that happens: the OS just says "no" and Factorio is left to just terminate because it asked for memory and the OS said no.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Thought it might just be nothing, thanks for looking anyway!
