Idea: More use for water tiles

Maybe a far fetched idea, but i thought it was worth the sharing.
Now the water tiles dont have much use beside having some pumps at the sides.

Maybe it could be a nice idea to have some kid of algue farm.
After all you are on an alien planet, so i can imagine you will need to make some DNA-Lab first and get some tree and water samples to unlock the (high lvl) tech.
Wood can be used to make some jetty to be able to reach the deeper water parts.
Too much pollution in the area makes the algue farms work less, or even let the algues die.

The algues itself could have some different uses. For example a squeezer can extract some sort of liquid from it that can be used for maybe biochem weapons or something, or maybe some other uses. Squeezed algue plant trash can be used for example as fertilizer or as waste or something.
