Note: this is on Seablock modpack, but I suspect it may have something to do with recent inserter changes.
I have an assembler that both consumes saw blades and produces saw blades. I've set up an saw blade filter inserter (bob's adjustable kind) that takes from the assembler and places right back into it, thinking this would take any saw blades produced by the assembler and put them back in to be consumed again. The inserter is stuck in a "waiting for space in destination," even though the input for saw blades is empty. I believe this was working in 0.17.49, though I could be wrong.

Re: [0.17.50] Inserter stuck waiting for space in destination
Thanks for the report however I don't consider this scenario to be worth changing inserter logic over. Inserters where never meant to insert and pick up from the same thing and as such they run into issues like this.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

Might be something about that recipe or assembler.
My design for Kovarex Process, also feeds back into the Centrifuge with Inserters adjusted by Bobs Inserters, is still working in 0.17.50.

From screenshot it seems that pickup and drop are the same.
Maybe try to ask inserter to take from left tile and put it down on upper-left tile?
