how to attack & defend yourself ?

never play tutorial so this is what i'm missing now. was attack by some enemies, and have no idea how to defence my ass. so in short, how to ?

dont want to play go knows how long in tutorial to find out.

If you haven't got a gun, build one.
Make sure it has ammo, if not, build some.
When biters are near, hold space to shoot them.

Pretty much what Fish said. But to elaborate a bit more... Pay attention to where your being attacked from (like what direction the bases are in), and build up a few turrets, put a wall around them and load them with ammo. Just put a few of these little bunkers in the path of where the enemies come from.

Or if it is just small attacks, do exactly as Fish said: Research and build a Sub Machine Gun, make some ammo and put it in the slot below the gun. Then just point your mouse at the enemies and hold the Space key.
