mod portal: selecting a mod shoulw allow activating dependencies

Post by mrvn »

TL;DR
Selecting a mod should allow activating required and optional dependencies from the description shown to the right.

What ?
Selecting a mod shows the informations for the mod on the right listing all the required and optional dependencies. There should be a checkmark box to activate or deactivate (or install) each dependency and the arrow button can be replaced by making the name of each entry clickable. Activating a mod should further activate all required depends by default. Dependencies should be listed recursively as a tree.
Why ?
When looking to activate a mod one can check the checkmark box for the mod. But that doesn't even activate the required dependencies. So the mod is left in an unusable state and will be disabled on restart if one just continues. No warning is given for this unusable state. So one has to carefully check all the dependencies of the mod in the info window to the right. While the arrow button shows the information for each mod it doesn't allow activating, deactivating or installing the said mod. Which makes it rather useless imho. So one is left with looking which dependency is colored red. The search for the mod in the full mod list and activate it. Go back to the original mod and repeat. The dependencies might have dependencies them self making this a nightmare.
