Hey guys. I created a headless server using the wiki for help and when I load into the server, my latest solo map (created and played on a different machine) is the map used for the server. I would like to have a new map for this server, that isn't tied to my game play on another machine. What am I doing wrong? I'm honestly not sure how the solo play map got onto the server.
The Wiki Page I used: https://wiki.factorio.com/Multiplayer
The exact commands I used:
Create Map: bin/x64/factorio --create saves/my-save.zip --map-gen-settings my-map-gen-settings.json --map-settings my-map-settings.json
Start Server command: bin/x64/factorio --start-server-load-latest --server-settings ./data/server-settings.json
UPDATE:
I did manage to get the server to run on it's own map so far. Currently I had to generate a save without the use of Map gen settings or map settings:
bin/x64/factorio --create ./saves/my-save.zip
Then I started up the save without stating to load the latest map: bin/x64/factorio saves/my-save.zip --server-settings data/server-settings.json.
It seems when I tell the server to load latest, it some how pulls my latest play through from the cloud rather than use the local saves as expected. Does starting the server, and referencing the saves location automatically load the latest save from that location? Or am I still missing something. From the wiki it doesn't explain the differences between the commands very well and, in my opinion, can become very misleading for new server admins who wish to host a server for their community.
