I am playing a map at around 60 hours. I wanted to edit the map in the editor.
I convert the map and then load into the editor, but it reverts the map to 1.5 hours of gameplay.
I am unable to see how to forward or open the map at the current state of play.
Thanks

Re: [0.17.14] Map Editor
I don't know anything about the main-menu editor. But if you don't mind affecting achievements, there is an in-game editor that can do a lot of things.
Just load your save as normal, then in the console type /editor
You get this UI:

Those icons along the top are for: Decoratives, Entities, Forces, Resources (ores/oil/etc), Surfaces, Tiles, Cloning entities, Lua scripts, Time manipulation and Cliffs.
In the screenshot I'm currently in the Entities menu and you can see I can choose any entity in the game (including hidden ones and infinite chests etc), then I can either place them down one at a time or use a brush or spray-can to place them rapidly over a wide area.
Seems to me you can do pretty much all map manipulation you'd need to do here, without ever needing to quit to main menu. I've not used the main menu editor yet, but judging from what I read about it it sounds pretty much like the in-game one.
Only downside is that once used in a save achievements will be disabled. Don't know if that's a big deal to you or not.
