[0.17.9] I can't get the speakers to work! [SOLVED]

Don't know how to use a machine? Looking for efficient setups? Stuck in a mission?

I have searched for a solution both here and on Reddit, so either I am a idiot or there is something funky about the speakers. (Properly the first)

The speakers should play a sound, when the total amount of coal in the chest = 0. But there is no sound and no coal in that chest.
The light function fine, when I set the the total amount of coal in the chest = 0.

I tried disabling my sound-related mods - still the same.
I've also tried unmuting everyone in the console - to no avail.

What am I doing wrong? :D

EDIT: I tried disabling/enabling each individual mod - the speakers work, when I disable Electric Furnaces (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Electric%20Furnaces) weirdly enough.

That's... really weird. Can you post your full mod list? I did a quick test on a sandbox map and it worked with Electric Furnaces enabled.

Extremely weird. It were the last mod I disabled, since it seemed so unlikely.

EDIT:
I tried in sandbox again. It seems my speakers only work, when I disable the mod on my main save. But they work in sandbox, even when the mod are enabled.

Maybe dumb question: is the speaker powered in the save in which it doesn't work?

I mean do you have enough power to the speaker? Might the speaker be working when you disable Electric Furnaces because that reduces your power draw? A quick sandbox test shows that the speaker stops working when it has <50% power.

I didn't even know that was a feature. It works now and I am extremely sorry for wasting your time!
