Looking for a single belt splitter

Hi! I haven't found any up to date mods that allow you to balance a single belt. For instance if there are more items on the left side of the belt, the splitter will balance it out between the two sides.

I found this mod: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Single-Splitter
which seems to do exactly what I want, however it's no longer in development and it's still in 0.16...

If any of you know another mod that does this, I'd be glad to hear about it!

I've not tried it, but someone appears to have updated that for 0.17: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Single-Splitter-new

I use that mod, it works great for early setups that overflow on one side or even helps out if you end up with a quarry or something on one side without having to use the splitter push to the otherside.
