[0.17.4] Unable to pick up items when same key is reused

I had the "pick up items on ground" and "Enter/Leave vehicle" controls both set to E. With the 0.17.4 I noticed this doesn't pick up items any longer, although this has been fully working with the 0.16 experimental versions. Previously I was able to both use vehicles and pick up items with the same key. This is no longer the case.

This is reproducable for me after swapping key bindings back and forth and can be worked around by setting a different key for the "Enter/Leave vehicle".
