Hello to all the community
I have an idea for the next update and for "increased" the difficulty of the game as well as other idea of energy production.
Let's start with the means of energy production:
- Wind turbines, made with plastic and engine it produces more than solar panels, but less efficient than steam turbine
- The hydroelectric dam: made with high performance concrete, steel and turbines, it places it at the very specific level at lake level or extended water.
Snowy maps would also be class to break the green of the plains and the sand of the desert, with effects on the building (small layer of snow on etc ...)
For the difficulty, why not put a climatic event (: storm, sandstorm or snow, solar storm)
Also events like the love season of the byters, which would be more nervous, more aggressive and the opposite of the moment where the byters would be more vulnerable.
Make the planet a more "living" world

Wind turbines. There are mods that add these, although earlier in the game. Main advantage over solar is that they always function, main disadvantage was that they fluxuate randomly, instead of regularly like solar.
Dam. While cliffs are a good start, we don't really have a proper heightmap ingame. That said, if we get more river-like structures, you can probably make oil-patch-like objects on the river as proper locations for a dam.
Snowy map. Alien biomes has snow. I don't think doubling the sprites for every single entity (or even most of them) would be sane, but yea, more terrain variety would be nice.
Climatic event. There are a few weather mods around. Would probably be the same kinda irritating as day-night cycle is now, but yea.
Mating season. Eh, Biters almost certainly don't breed like that. Pretty sure they hatch from eggs from the spawners or something, and are just soldier ant equivalents.

Biters are less active during winter, but breed intensively during spring... I like this idea, but:
- Seasons (especially winter) will be VERY graphics-heavy.
- 1 game day lasts for ~7 minutes. How many days in 1 year on this planet?

I do not know for example, 30 days on the planet = 6 months

Obvious answer is 365 days, or *Gets out calculator* .... ~42 hours, or almost 2 days. Cut to 4 seasons (because totally earthlike world identical to our own) or 6 hours per season. Obviously too long.
One hour per season. ~9 days per season, ~36 days, or 4 hours per year.
That is probably reasonable enough for our purposes.
But in any case, I would prefer against it. Honestly I still think days should be 3x as long, for a nice round 20 minutes.
