[Mod request/base game addition idea] Hiding items in inventory production list

So many mods adds a lot of tiered buildings, after some time i often get a lot of clutter in building section of inventory.
So is it possible to make a mod that add a button which if pressed change production list to grid where you can check/uncheck item to be visible or not so it is possible to organize/sort production list. Even better if we could sort manually and save order of items on that list.
