flexible lamps

Post by ownlyme »

there should be an api to switch lamps between "always on", "always off" and "auto".
also you should be able to set the color via api.
additionally, you should be able to remove the power consumption (at least via prototype)

Power consumption can be removed on anything that takes power in 0.17. An "always on" option for lamps would mean they need to save additional data in the map so I'm not sold on that.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

i found a solution, i'm just using an explosion prototype now.

that always-on option would be nice for the "on picture". when there's no power, the lamp will be actually off which is more realistic.
i think for everything else there are easy workarounds...

Fixed in 0.17.51
- Added optional lamp prototype property "always_on".

But I think there's still no way to change the lamp color via script.
