Train Signals no longer work

I updated to 16.40 recently and now when I load ALL of my train signals in my entire factory just alternate through the colors, same as if they were placed in a field away from tracks. As an experiment, I picked up one and replaced it to see if it would work, but no luck. It still just cycles through the colors. As a result my factory is unplayable as I use a TON of trains and they immediately ram into each other causing mayhem. Admittedly fun to watch for a bit, but they just try to power through each other to get to their endgoal, destroying whatever is in front of them. Please fix soon! I love this game!

Hello, sorry for the problems, but it was quickly fixed in the 0.16.41, which is already available.
