Current:
CTL + RClick: Player may place all items in hand into object
CTL + LClick: Player may place half of items in hand into object
In both cases, an exhausted stack in hand will try to pull another full stack into hand from inventory.
Suggestion:
Alt + Rclick: Player places 5 items in hand into object
Example: Player holds alt and clicks once on each turret running down a line with an ammo stack in hand.. each turret receives 5 ammo
Reason:
Early game on harder difficulties turret ammo management and coal insertion is very tedious. Half stack is entirely too much if you have a line of 12 to fill, which with limited quantity available you have to open the object and left click several times to just drop a few.
This process is repeated until auto-fill turret lines are constructed and smelters are automated.
Small change, but could make first half hour a lot less tedious.

alternatively if it just did it how minecraft now does dragging. Wait until all items have been dragged over and the button released then split the stack completely evenly between everything dragged over. would be very nice.
+1 here.

I support a x5 placement shortcut.
