The reason I decided to reset is because I ran myself completely out of coal (and electricity) before getting Bobs Greenhouses built, and really short on ammo.
I faffed around tryin to tech to be able to craft glass so as to make even one or two greenhouses. The blue stone furnace doesn't seem to have a recipe that would help me, and the red stone furnace not only has a pipe connection (I haven't gotten to the gas-related techs yet) but it also has no recipes unlocked of any kind.
I was entirely unable to use electric miners on the bobmonium and rubyte, is this normal? Could this be a result of the Prospector mod? I was able to plop down some of my original burner miners to grab a few thousand ore of each into a silo. Didn't make much of it. I'd unlocked a few buildings that I couldn't craft because of blue circuits, which is around the time I ran out of coal. No idea how to unlock solder or how to craft blue circuits, no idea how to craft glass, and no idea how to craft even a small number (perhaps one?) greenhouse. Of the 11 hours I spent on this playthrough, I estimate I did more than half of that chopping wood (which only made the biter attack waves more frequent, of course.)
This playthrough included more than 90 minutes attempting to run coal free, which meant rationing my raw wood into the boilers and snipping off large sections of my power network so that I was only running critical areas... but over time, everything became "critical" because I was running low on my stockpiles of iron and copper plate that I'd saved up. And I was having a hard time chopping enough wood to keep the steam running, let alone diverting large quantities of it to the smelteries.
