Factorio not starting (SOLVED)

I click play on Steam, a Steam window pops up saying "Preparing to launch Factorio..." then closes and Factorio does not launch.

I have Windows 10, a hell ton of mods (170 to be exact, but none active) and no beta versions, when i right click factorio then properties, then beta programs, it changes but when i close the window it goes back to no beta programs.

It did start before but not now. Help?

EDIT: Doesnt just appear in task bar and doesnt maximize, its just that it doesnt run.

Unfortunatelly that is not public link for sharing file on Dropbox, so I don't have access to it (you need to click on Share and Create link)

But you should be able to upload the file as attachment here on forum. Since the game doen't even show its window, factorio-current.log is only thing we need.

Do you have Razer Synapse installed?

Yes, i do have Razer Synapse installed, but i don't run Factorio through Razer Synapse, just Steam.

Please download procdump.zip, unzip it, run dump_on_exception.bat, confirm Microsoft's EULA and then launch Factorio through Steam Library. It should create Factorio.exe_######_######.dmp. If it doesn't, try to run dump_on_terminate.bat instead. Zip the dmp file and upload it here, please.

Make sure your are NOT trying to run Factorio.exe as administrator nor exececuting Factorio.exe directly. Procdump would not be able to create memory dump in that case.

Procdump.zip contains ProcDump from Microsoft Sysinternals (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sys ... 96900.aspx) and bat files to run procdump with parameters that make it create memory dump when Factorio.exe crashes or terminates.

Look at the video, neither of these make a Factorio.exe_######_######.dmp. Neither in %appdata% then Factorio, in the Procdump folder neither in the Steam folder for Factorio.

Also the fact "Verify integrity of game files" in Factorio properties was grayed out is quite strange. Try to reinstall the Steam Client, I suppose.

From what you showed me, it looks to me like Steam is not launching factorio.exe at all, but in your video it clearly was on disk. It might be corrupted Steam library not the client itself.

Initially I asked you about Razer Synapse, because we had 2 reports of the game crashing at 50% of loading, so I thought that might be your case too, but then I saw the launch didn't go that far so I dismissed the idea, but it still might be related.(one person unistalled Synapse because they weren't using it, and the second one reinstalled Synapse, the game worked for both of them after that)

YAAY! Reinstalled Steam and Factorio and it worked again. Thank you for the support anyways.
