Poor man's requester chest

Using a hacked blueprint, I am able to turn a steel chest into a requester chest that is fed by construction robots. Tested in Factorio 0.16.20.

More like abusing Blueprints. The "item-request-proxy" is doing as the name says it should - requesting items. The Blueprint however has no idea it's not requesting modules (not that it really cares).

Any chance of making this into a mod that changes the blueprint dialog to include a "include items" checkbox?

So first we need a tool to make these, and then we need recursive blueprints so we can replace them when items run out.

Why so basic? This idea is fantastic for making turrets with starting ammo.

What tools did you use? How are the blueprints encoded?

You can use https://factorio.tmin10.ru/ to decode the example of the previous post, adjust it to your needs and encode it again
