Edit1: On second thought... this will generate a lot more data for the game to update. Will probably kill the game performance in bot megabases. Hectic day... :)


The idea below is taken from one of the replies to the latest FFF (bots versus belts part 2). Although some numbers needs to be tested and tweaked, the idea itself here is great (in my opinion)! it would make bot usage much more interesting :) What do you guys think? https://imgur.com/a/nksoM

Just a few thoughts regarding this topic

Considering the game basically operates using CAPSULE CORP tech, regarding size and weight of things... One possibly challenging nerf to robots could be "Signal Interference".

This'd mean robots slow down when in big swarms due to saturation OR establishing noise coefficient for signaling entities "Robots are most efficient in a 20:1 active robot/roboport ratio" "Robot suffer from interference from nearby energy-consuming entities without efficiency modules"

A plus to this'd be to require the roboport to hold Modules in order to modify base flying speed, stack size and signal interference vulnerability appropiately. E: Roboport with 3 speed modules = robots fly at +30% speed E2: Roboport with 3 efficiency modules = Robots recieve X% less penalty from interference E3: Roboport with 3 production modules = Robots can lift stacks of +X items. (adjusting to technology upgrade)
