The Best Factorio Steam Review

I didn't write this, but I think it deserves some credit. It was what made me shovel for a few extra dollars for this game, along with hundreds of others. I think the author (And yes, because he *definitely* deserves that title) really captured Factorio in a brilliant realistic light. One that captures the curiosity of humans and their thirst for fun. Don't just take my opinion on it though, read it yourself:

Hi. Im a new player too. I intend to leave a v good review too. I downloaded Friday night, as I had a wet, cold weekend to look forward to. I wanted a strategy game to keep me entertained. Came across this. Come Sunday night, last night, it was time for bed before I knew it. What an addictive, yet clever little game. I'm an engineer, so it tickles all my geeky whatnots. I'd complain theres no tutorials, but Im an engineer and wouldnt read them anyway. Half the fun is figuring stuff out. Ive always found the best way to do stuff is to fully comprehend the ways not to. You cant learn insight. Probably.

I couldnt sleep last night because my brain was figuring more efficient ways to reconfigure my output. I anticipate another evening tonight spent manipulating my assemby machines like some kind of I/O computer. Theres satisfaction to be had when everything ticks along like clockwork. Currently i have a sprocket shortage and an overproduction of conveyors. I may also have way too many security turrets. I started in easy mode to get the feel and to figure it out.

I work in an office full of nerds and this game is right up their conduits. I have little doubt that very soon our entire office will be lost in this game. No need to send any help. My friends too. Soon all will be lost and I''ll have my food assembly machine telling me I need to get dressed. It works on macbook too. So those lost days at food assembly machines, assembly-inlaws machines house can be spent productively rather than just sitting quietly listening to them arguing about siblings, cousins and other assorted family crisises.

This game is daft. Where has it been all my life?
