More Beautification in vanilla?

Hi,

being a Minecraft player, as well as Starbound, Terraria etc. I am somehow missing more personalization and beautification.

Some people like to do the most efficient factory. I like to actually make it look cool. Base entries, HQ bridge. Roads from block to block. Parking slots. Tank garage. Lights that show state of ore. Different pavements etc.

I ve seen a a beaty mod that goes in the right direction. Basically offers much more variance. However, I also read that it creates bugs, and you cannot remove it without getting problems for your savegame. So I rather don't touch it.

Anyway, maybe we can get more of that stuff in vanilla Factorio? To make it not just a Factory, but a real base!

Given their pace of putting out high-res sprites I don't think they'd have time for a lot of beautification. But I would like some of that stuff even still.
