Do Cobalt Plates have a use?

As (I believe) Cobalt plates are no longer used to create Cobalt steel (only cobalt ingots are required) is there actually a reason to refine some cobalt ingots into cobalt plates. As far as I see there are no structures or intermediataries requiring cobalt plates so my questions are:

Am I mistaken? Do they have a use I havent found?

If not then why keep them in the game?

The one thing cobalt plate is used for is making cobalt steel plate.

If that recipe no longer exists it seems to be useless.

It depends on whether you allow Bob's smelting and/or hybrid Angel/Bob smelting.

If you use "strict" Angel smelting as enforced by some mods then the plate is not needed. In other cases it is used in the original Bob's recipes.

I’m using both bobs and angels together and I believe the recipie you are on about is disabled by default (I believe it was for me anyway)
