The setup:
I have a trainstation with 6 pumps next to a fluid wagon, 3 to pump into the wagon, 3 to pump out.
I alternate via circuits which pumps should activate (A=0 or A>0).
Pictures!
What happens:
When a train pulls in sometimes no pump connects to a tank of a fluid wagon.
It's not always the same tank and (most of) the other pumps work as intended.
It happens both while (attempting) to pump into and out of the wagon.
Wheter there is fluid in the fluid wagon or pump or not doesn't change the behavior either.
What i expected:
A pump connects to every tank.
My uneducated opinion:
It seems to be some kind of update issue, caused by the pump which could connect to the tank, but is deactivated via circuits.
After adding another pump to the train wagon it connects sometimes. If that happens, you can remove it again and one of the original pumps will connect.
Rotating the pump will also cause it to connect.

Re: Pump doesn't connect to fluid wagon
A second after you load the save the train will pull out of the station and the pump changes, 4 tanks wont have a pump attached to it.
If you tell one of the filled trains at the bottom left to go to that station, you can supply the pumps with fluid, they will still not work.

When ever a train stops at a station in the save you provided the pumps connect reliably. What we need is a save with the player next to a station and a train stopping later on and the pumps not connecting.ARandomStone wrote:A second after you load the save the train will pull out of the station and the pump changes, 4 tanks wont have a pump attached to it.

Re: Pump doesn't connect to fluid wagon
The pumps are not connecting reliable.
Or is the timeframe before to short?
It happens 3 seconds after you load the save.
The train on the right, not the water train.

It seems the pumps were connected previously but disconnect when the train on the opposite side leaves.ARandomStone wrote:The pumps are not connecting reliable.

Re: Pump doesn't connect to fluid wagon
What should happen:
Set A of Pumps (pulling out of the right train) is connected.
Train on the left leaves.
Set A of Pumps disconnects.
Set B of Pumps (pushing into the right train) connects.
What happens:
Only 8 from 12 possible pumps connect to the train on the right.

Re: [wheybags] Pump doesn't connect to fluid wagon
Fixed, will be available in 0.16.
If you want a workaround for now, the problem is that you have pumps targeting the same tank on the wagon, but beside different rail segments, because the pumps are 1 tile high and the rails are 2, and the tanker is pulling in straddling the two rails.
So, if instead of putting two pumps on the same side beside eachother, you put the pumps directly opposite eachother on either side of the rail, it should work.
Thanks for the report!
