One unit of slack in slider bars

Post by BenSeidel »

When using your mouse scrollwheel to change values of various things, including combinator values, requestor values, trash values etc, the increment of 100 is in two positions. The slider moves one unit, but the value does not change.

It's hard to see, but the two scroll bars are in different locations in the screenshots, but both are set to 100. It appears to be consistently at 100 that the "double entry" occurs.

To reproduce, go into any game and using your scroll wheel move between 90 and 200. It takes 3 movements of the scrollbar to move instead of the expected 2.

Is this still the case after you update to 15.23?

Yes.
The screenshot is from my vanilla zip directory.
It also does it on my steam installation that is 0.15.23 that I play mp with people.
Just haven't restarted the zip install since 0.15.23 came out.

I don't see it as a problem.
Since most of the people use the mouse to move the slider, it makes sense that round values are easier to set.

It happens at 10, 100, 1000, etc

Cool,
If that is the logic behind it, not a drama.
Screws with people using the mouse scroll wheel though.
