I don't have rails!!

I installed a few mods, and I don't have curved rails! I have everything with trains, but I don't have this! Can you help me?

That is vanilla, as of.... 0.15 or 0.14, can't recall.


You place rail, then branch off of that rail and kind of drag to the location you want to place it

If you hold the SHIFT key while placing rails, you can "ghost print" longer rails wit AI assistance

You don't need curved rails to be placed manually any more.
You place the starting piece of rail. Then point on it with your mouse and you will see an arrow on it pointing towards one of its directions. Press your mouse again to start assisted rail layering. It will follow your mouse pointer to lay rails from current rail piece towards it. Click mouse again to place rails and Q to exit rail layer interface.
If you do Shift-click on that small arrow on starter rail piece you will go into bot-assisted rail layering which allows you to lay rail ghosts, has no distance limitation and allows to lay tracks on top of trees/rocks if you hold Shift (just as all blueprints do).
