cant delete a mod that is causing crash on start up

hallo,
I play the game with mods and stuff etc.
so I downloaded some mods and they worked fine.
BUT, later I down loaded some new mods and during the start up screen - when it loads all the mods one of them displays the error.
I don't really care about the mod so I wanted to simply deleted it.
but because it crashes on start up I cant uninstall it from the menu in game.
I tried finding a mod list in the game files but I cant find them/ a file path to them

was I not looking hard enough or is there an easier way to delete this mod
if I cant find out I will just reinstall the game, the reason I don't want too is I'm afraid ill lose the mods I currently have and have to refind them

Hopefully I wasn't to obscure about my issues

First close the game.

Then get in your mods folder. Depending on your operating system :
- If it's Windows => %appdata%\Factorio\mods
- If it's Mac => ~/Library/Application Support/factorio/mods/
- If it's Linux => ~/.factorio/mods

Delete the mod.

I'm having the same issue with ShinyBob's mod, it crashes the game before I can even load it, even after I uninstall and reinstall the entire game.

The trouble is that there is no mod folder in the Steam files like you mentioned.

Where would I find them for Steam on Windows?

Steam saves the mods in the same folder as the installer from the website.

Press Win+R to open the run dialog and enter this: %appdata%\Factorio\mods
Or just copy-paste it into the address bar of any Windows Explorer window, that will also work.
