Why this has to be so difficult. They must have changed the item stack, I cannot seem to grab stacks of items anymore, only 5 at the time by right clicking the mouse or 1 at the time. Why? And also you have to destroy every single rock in the way, because you cannot seem to place the blueprint if something old is in the way by shift clicking which was so handy before.. I hope this change isn't permanent.. Is somebody else having this problem?
Sandbox:
And right now the "creative" mode in Factorio, the sandbox isn't working very well for testing ideas or such. I really would like the personal roboport and not having to build power and all the roboports so you can build and test stuff not building everythin manually which is so slow. If you use the regular oboports are always in the way and you have to relocate them all the time. It is much more convenient to load an old save with a working factory to test ideas where you have fully upgraded personal roboports than sandbox mode which is kind of useless I think. I could also crab some iron or coal from the inventory in the sandbox before, but not anymore. So if I want to test something I have to build working mines first and that is not at all convenient.
EDIT:
Changes seem to be on the sandbox mode only. So it is obvious I'm not using it anymore until they improve it. Cannot grab more than 5 items and not coal, iron, or any raw material. And cannot place the blueprint if the ground is not empty. I thought it would be more convenient to use that instead of the normal game with biters, but no.

Re: GUI changed again?
i use sandbox + creative mode regularly and i have none of these problems. i would check your hotkeys re: picking up stacks quickly. there is an electric energy source item which provides 5.4PW. not only is there super upgraded personal roboport, fusion reactor and construction bots, but you can also just shift-click stuff (or place blueprints) and stuff will magically appear.
shift-clicking blueprints should still work on trees/rocks in vanilla. it won't work on player's items (e.g., if you have stray power poles/belts).
edit: i see you are not referring to the actual "creative mode" mod. i would recommend using that for testing setups. my main saves are pure vanilla but i will occasionally restart factorio with creative mode enabled and hop into sandbox on a fresh map to test stuff out.
