Can you turn off the smoke/steam graphic?

Don't know how to use a machine? Looking for efficient setups? Stuck in a mission?

Can you turn off the smoke/steam graphic?

I don't want to turn off the pollution effect just the graphics. In large factories I get a ton of lag from steam engines.

Thoughts suggestions?

Try Options / Graphics / Show smoke
I have no idea what I'm talking about.
