Conveyor Belts eat items

Hey there,

notcied when i have items on a conveyor belt and rotate it once or twice quickly, the items on it seem to disappear?

Yes, you lose them.

As far as I can tell, the removed items get inserted to your inventory, just as if you had picked them up.

So that's why the raw ores get in my inventory even though I didn't mine any furnaces?

I would still prefer that to be fixed.

Well I guess they made it like that because if you had a belt that turn to the side and you made it point straight, you'd have items clocking up the lanes since they'd not necessarily be on proper side-lanes

It is feature, not a bug, what else would you do with those items?
You cant leave them there (they would block the belt), you don't want to loose them, and you don't want to move them randomly somwhere.

Putting it in the player inventory seems like the best solution (It is the same when you put some buildings over items on ground)

Aha.. So that's where I _actually_ got those items that randomly appeared in my inventory... I built some inserters earlier than the chests/machines.

Hmm.. You are right, there is no easy catchall solution.
Even if the items were repositioned on the belt, there could still be some leftover items.

Yeah thats a nice feature :P Just didn't notice they go to my inv so i thought they just disappeared
