So, my brother and I tried playing a new game in 0.15 and right at the start he was getting extreme lag. I was hosting the game and he was connecting to me through public game. Thing is, we never had any trouble before, so I was surprised. After some tests, we decided to try reverting to 0.13 (last version we played)... BAM, no more lag. Here are some screenshots:
0.15
0.13
Both are brand new games, done 10-ish minutes apart, on the same computers, same network configuration (ok, ok, 0.15 he was hosting so I could get a screenshot with more relevant debug info, but he was getting the same amount of lag when I was hosting).
In 0.13, I was setting the "latency" slider to 100ms, the worst case we saw for "lag tick" for my brother was 10, but it usually was around 5, dropped to 3, etc. So I think the 100ms was right, and 100ms for a connection in the same area makes sense.
However, in 0.15 he was consistently above 20 ticks, sometimes as worse as 35, which amounts to around 500ms of lag, which is nuts. We did a couple of test, he even came over to try out LAN. LAN was flawless though. We even tried going through Public Game when he was over (he was connecting to my public IP), still getting 500ms lag. Every test we tried worked under 0.13, but in 0.15 it was always laging (except LAN).
At this point, I can't help but think there might be something wrong with 0.15 network code... probably around "latency hiding" mechanism? Probably miscalculating the latency and forcing us on a slower setting?
One last picture, that's the network screen with the ping (1ms) when we took the 0.15 screenshot, when he was at my place.
Ping 1ms but in-game lag at 500ms on a brand new game? Seems fishy.
Thank you anyone who can help us fix this, I'm open to any suggestion that I could try on our side. Maybe a LUA command or setting that could force the "latency hiding" to a lower value that what is calculated?

Re: New multiplayer game, 500+ms lag.
My friends and I are having this same exact issue. Tried everything we could think of (and many items posted previously here) without success. Anything on this issue would be a huge help.
