Hello.
Here is initial setup. 2 solar panels give 120 kW. Everything is OK:
Now let's add another pole, which will touch both solar panels:
And finally let's remove wire from the newly added pole:
Notice that electric network (when clicked on initial pole, which is connected with wires) info is broken. It looks like newly added pole gets "ownership" over solar panels, and when wire is removed, "ownership" is not. I expect to see 120 KW. This bug is annoying, because I use poles for the circuit network near solar panels, and I remove electrical wires.
[0.15.10] Electric network info is wrong
Re: [0.15.10] Electric network info is wrong
I've dealt with this as well. Issue is that you're creating a second, separate electrical grid which gets half the production of energy producers in range. You can work around this by placing an accumulator in range of both poles - it'll transfer the extra production (up to 300kw per accu) from the grid with the surplus to the grid with the shortage. Other workarounds are to use Big Poles, which have a more narrow servicing area, and place those a slight distance away from the solar panels. Added advantage is the long reach of those, in case your circuit needs some distance.
Re: [0.15.10] Electric network info is wrong
Aeternus, thank you for the explanation! It is so obvious that a new pole forms a 2nd electrical grid. And your workarounds over this situation sound reasonable.
So, this is not a bug.

Re: [0.15.10] Electric network info is wrong
Tbh I'd keep it as a bug - the fact that workaround exists doesn't make it less strange.
Solar panels should exist in both electric networks and provide power to both. When one has no consumption and other is overloaded all power should go to overloaded one. It looks like now it's somehow "reserved" for other network so one that needs it doesn't get that half at all.

Re: [0.15.10] Electric network info is wrong
It is not a bug. Having one solar connected to more network makes it power production evenly distribute between these networks. It is simplification of this special case.
Re: [0.15.10] Electric network info is wrong
Equal distribution would mean if one network has 0 drain the other gets all.kovarex wrote:It is not a bug. Having one solar connected to more network makes it power production evenly distribute between these networks. It is simplification of this special case.
