Every once in a while I get a large lag spike lasting for around 5 seconds. The game will just freeze up completely, then a couple seconds later I hear my computer fan spin up and soon the lag spike ends. But it'll be triggered by doing something I haven't done in a while, moving close to something or placing an object I haven't viewed recently, or sometimes an autosave will trigger it. It's like it tries to load something into active memory and then gets stuck trying to find it.
It started happening with 0.15 I believe. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with a GTX 970 card.

Same here. But I am not totally sure that is it factorio it self what cause it or computer. It looks that Update time spike also up so it can be factorio. Or it can be just cpu throttle.
With single player it is not so big problem because it just slow down whole game. But at multiplayer it totally killing joy. Probably possibility to draw graph from debug parameters give more answers for that.
And I really hope that they will make soon feature what report client sleep times to server and if it goes to too low at some client it will throttle down that server.
