When replaying a savegame it counts towards achievements just like normal gameplay does.
Steps to reproduce:
- Play the (vanilla) game until you unlock an achievement with replay-saving enabled
- Replay the savegame on a Factorio installation where that achievement isn't unlocked yet (can also be run faster)
- --> Achievement will be unlocked there (both internal and on Steam)
It uses local achievement data to process this, meaning that if someone who already has the achievement plays the game and "unlocks" it again it won't be shown to them, but if someone else (who doesn't already have the achievement) replays it it will still be unlocked.Steam post wrote:In the interest of research, i decided to continue watching to see if i would get the Steamrolled achievement (of which i already destroyed 8/10 spawners). Sure enough i did get it.
I did my tests with a vanilla save with the "produce 10k electronic circuits" achievement where I unlocked it. It gets unlocked when replaying it on a clean install, and if I replay the save on my Steam installation (on x64 speed nonetheless) it adds 10k to the mass production 3 achievement.
